Plug valves are an established and reliable sanitary valve that offer minimal pressure drops. The TOP-FLO® plug valve is designed with a tapered core assembly, facilitating easy cleaning and eliminating crevices that may harbor contaminants. Its specially engineered taper minimizes wedging and galling. These durable valves are constructed from type 316L stainless steel and feature clamp end connections, with other connection types available upon request. They come with options for rubber or steel plugs.
Important Note:
Due to their design, plug valves are recommended solely for low-pressure applications, with a maximum allowable pressure of 25 PSI. They are suitable for use with non-hazardous materials and should not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s important to note that these valves are prone to leakage shortly after installation, which can occur as a result of standard operating, maintenance, and cleaning practices.
